HPP’s banking and finance specialists have wide-ranging experience in all types of financial transactions. Our client base ranges from international banks to Finnish start-up companies. Our expert services include structuring of and advising in connection with debt financing and loan facilities, equity-based financing and mezzanine type of instruments. HPP also advises capital and investment fund companies with respect to fund formation and connected regulatory issues on an on-going basis.

Our financial expertise is based not only on the ability to consider legal issues, but also on practical business experience. A number of lawyers in our banking and finance team have in-house experience gained in the banking sector or from serving in positions of financial responsibility (such as serving as CFO) in both listed and private companies.

  • Debt financing

    Planning the debt structure of an M&A or real estate transaction and drafting the related documentation form part of our banking and finance team’s core competence. Our banking and finance lawyers have significant experience in and understanding of the finance behind mezzanine instruments so that we may address the special requirements of mezzanine investors, banks and other credit institutions and related parties in this particular world of hybrid financing.
