Marko Koski is specialized in tax law and is the head of HPP’s tax team.
Marko has previously worked in the Finnish Tax Administration. In his most recent position as the tax director of the Large Taxpayers’ Office he was responsible for the income tax and value added tax, the taxation of employer and other contributions and tax inspection matters of international groups of companies as well as of Finland’s largest companies. Before working in the Finnish Tax Administration Marko was the head of import and car taxation at the Finnish Customs.
Marko has also been involved in the drafting of tax and customs legislation and acted as the Finnish representative i.al. in the OECD’s Large Business Network and in several working groups of the EU Commission. His most recent involvement was in the Ministry of Finance VETO project whose objective was the administrative transfer of all taxation matters from the Finnish Customs to the Finnish Tax Administration.
Marko has an LLM degree from the University of Helsinki and he has trained on the bench at the District Court of Helsinki.
Marko’s working languages are Finnish and English.
